Palmetto Motorsports (PALM) was established in October 2005 with a mission to provide opportunities to at-risk youth in Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties of South Carolina. Most of PALM's youth are high school drop-outs who did not do well in the traditional educational system and are not self-sufficent or ready for the workforce.

PALM's curriculum is mainly hands-on and competency-based so all individuals can learn at their own pace. Real-world situations allow PALM students to see how the job skills they acquire pertain to the actual workplace. When students leave the PALM program, they are ready for teh world of work and are placed in either employment, the military or in secondary education.

Currently, PALM has three courses of study:

1. On-Site GED Prepartion (Courtesy of Horry County Schools Adult Education)
2. I-CAR Training with 9 areas of Core Training for Certification
3. Greenville Technical College Certificate in Applied Science for Motorsports Technology
